State of Indian Marriages in another 50 years-A thought
"It would rather be unfortunate for me if i would be still alive to witnesss the scene of how an Indian Marriage system would work in another 50 years"
1.The Current Phase-2010:These days we see Indian marriage system still holding something from the Root system atleast in certain orthodox families.The first step towards breaking this is an Intercaste marriage. Intercaste marriage is considered to be the first path wherein families feel that the traditional system is broken. One can hear gossips within relatives and friends about the people who have supported this also on the couples involved. This happens only during the first phase.(Take 6 months).In a year people tend to forget things. A kid is born- Then comes a twist in the tale.All the gossipers come back. "Oh my god -such a cute kid.Others gossip- she would not have had such a cute kid if it was a marriage with the guy from our own caste, where do we find such fair guys in our caste. A giggle.."This is how it is shaping up in the current scenario.Lot to talk before and lot to talk after.
2.The Evolution Phase-2030:The future of the Indian education system is bright, they say. Kids going to college,staying in hostels.These days we see only few hostels where in boys are girls stay in the same building. But going forward we could see both stayng in same rooms which is already the case in certain hostels in our own state.These instances are happening in MIT Manipal and KMC manipal and as a result couples have ended up with kids in the process of completing the courses especially in the Medical side.So nothing new is written here.Hence when couples are out of college with kids and a degree both as a combo there is no worry for parents to get their kids married. This might sound funny. Such things are happening even now but in the near future the rate would definatley increase.

The Amendment Phase-2060:Looking at all this happpen in the country the goverment needs to do something.They all will sit down in the Parliament in a round table conference and work on amending the law on marriage age.They will discuss the issue during the winter session and finally come out with the decision in summer.But then they felt it was bit late since they know better than anyone that most of the unwanted love happens in Winter:) and more over in holiday season. The rule would be something like guys get married at 17 and girls at 15:) The media comes out with a bang on this.Huge discussions and everything would go on and on and finally people would agree because they wanted to have the custom of marriage atleast in thier houses. If not it would be too late to call for a marriage. Such a word would not exist.

4. The observation Phase:With all such amendments people could see that the age difference between parents and kids got on decreasing. One could see mother and daughter in same college sitting next to next most often because mother might have taken some years of break to deliver the child you know. All lot of such instances. Father and son Playing sports together. For instance in cricket- Father at 36 and son being under 19 catpain. Son plays very well, wins the under 19 world cup next in the same year say if father retires then there is always possibilty than son might be the heir apparant of the senior team:). Lots of such things to watch out for in case if the marriage system doesnt hold on with its age.
FYI:Next amendment in law in reducing the marraige age is nothing but a suicide. But with the fast growing trend and in the high speed internet world realtionships tend to happen so fast. No time to think. The geneartion would always feel that they are short of time for the acts. But it is not a fact. This is what needs to be addressed to your kids when they are growing up.If not as a parent you could land up with the wrong foot on the paddle.
